The Passage of Time

oh, my website update! i totally forgot about my website update! aw man, and it was pretty much ready to publish, too... well, it was only like a month or two ago, right?
ah. well.
that's pretty much how these past 142 days have felt. i've lost a lot of time where i really couldn't tell you what i was doing. it kind of feels like i time traveled about 4 months into the future. not in a cool sci-fi way though, more in like a "how is it already july why do i remember so little this is so frustrating" kind of way.
well, you guys get another bulleted list of things that i've written down in my journal, then!
- at some point, i got a new pokewalker! yay! it really is a huge motivator to keep moving, especially in this terrible summer weather.
- i picked up a cute vintage sewing machine from a local bits-and-bobs store for super cheap, and it works like a dream! i have plans to sew covers for a futon with it, and then hopefully many more fun projects!
- i've celebrated some birthdays and holidays with my dear friends as i continue to be lucky enough to have them in my life!
- i finally went to the doctors after 3 whole years! i've got a psych appointment scheduled for the 30th, and i'm really hoping it can help me get some things figured out!
- most recently, i picked up a cute windows 7 laptop from a pile of highschool e-waste! you can absolutely expect a future blog post about that!
as for right now, i've been having a ton of fun doing this years Artfight!! i didn't get to participate at all last year (for somewhat obvious reasons...), so i've been having fun taking it easier on myself and just drawing what i want when i want! by putting less pressure on myself, i've been making way more art than any of my other years!
per my last blog post, i promise i'll be writing those posts i mentioned (i'm excited to)! for site updates, i want to do a visual overhaul and continue to tidy things up before anything else. the new assets are placeholders while i finalize the look of the website!
oh, and as for my quarter goals... it seems i was stagnant very often, and i didn't do something every day. anxiety and depression can really knock you on your ass! i did a few things that scared me, i nurtured my relationships, and i am finally starting to get my health figured out!! kind to myself? ehh... getting there.

Rover!

there we go, that's more like it! welcome to rover 3.0! let's take a look at what's changed.
not too drastic, but noticable, right? a new house means spring cleaning, so i got to sprucing everything up!
i started by making a sketch of what i wanted the new website to look like. for anyone looking to make their own site, i really reccomend this! you dont have to be a fantastic artist, just get down the shape and general placement of things (and maybe some colors too, if you're fancy!) editing the colors and background images was easy enough thanks to the updated CSS, and most of my time was spent redecorating, reorganizing, and fixing some old broken links! all of my pages have a bit of new content (besides the photo album, i need to take more pictures...)
you might also notice the new comment section! thank you to ayano at virtualobserever for the wonderful template!! if you're reading my blog the day this update happens and its broken, dont worry about it ill figure it out lol, any issues will definitely be user error. im so excited to hear from you guys!
some pages have moved around, gotten smushed together, or temporarily vanished... dont worry! if you get lost, the sitemap is there for you!
so, to sum it up... new coat of paint, all the pages have new and fixed links, updated about me, new comment area, and the foundation for fun stuff to come!!
to be honest im too frazzled at the moment to think of a coherent way to end this, so... yay!! woohoo!! now that things are cleaned and ready, expect more goodies soon!
